Ben Jennings is an up and coming satirical cartoonist whose work has been recognized by some of Britain’s most renowned cartoonists such as Steve Bell, Martin Rowson and Gerald Scarfe. Since 15 he knew he wanted to be a cartoonist and began selling caricatures at school to students and teachers alike. 5 years on, his work has already appeared in The Guardian and The Stool Pigeon, as well as recently having work exhibited in Berlin and contributing a piece soon to be on display at The Cartoon Museum. One of Ben’s cartoons was entered into the 2010 Political Cartoon of the Year awards and he was also a member of The Guardian’s team at The Big Draw’s: Battle of the Cartoonists. Furthermore, in an International Political Cartoon competition his entry made it to the last 20 out of 500 cartoonists worldwide in early 2010. Ben also recently produced two short animated music videos inspired by the songs of critically acclaimed UK rapper Akala, who is now using the animations on his website. Ben is currently studying a BA Honours Illustration degree at The University of Westminster.
